Really? Because I'm not particularly a fan of either one but they both seem really really well suited to their parts, to me.

Zendeya? Really? You think she has the acting chops to pull off Chani?

I think she has presence, and I think presence is mostly what you need for the role.

I think there's not a lot of actors that age who have her kind of presence, so she's a good choice.

To each their own, I think Zendaya will be great as Chani. I'm less confident of TC because I've never actually seen him in anything and I find his looks off-putting. But least this time around they both look youngish, in the books they're meant to be teenagers.

I heard they are casting Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho. He would make a better Stilgar, imo. But maybe he will be good as the legendary swordsmaster.

It is completely pointless to speculate about casting before you've seen the media. Actors very often surprise you. Or they don't. But you never know until you've seen them in the role.

Well given that both are great actors and one is Oscar nominated and is a powerful actor and one is on one of the best shows on HBO I think they will do fine and it's timothée

Zendaya as Chani is ... I dunno. She hasn't seemed to have a ... regal presence? At least in the things I've seen her in.

TC did a good job of just that in The King, so I'm hopeful. :)

A certain type of regal, sure. Action-hero, messianic figure guy who is worshiped as a god and has a war started in his name? Can't really see it.

That's not really who Paul is imo, especially in Dune itseslf

On one hand, we don't need yet another remake.

On the other, I'm willing to give this a chance, because it might draw in new fans.

On the proverbial hand, there's so much *more* in that world that they could explore, rather than going over the single book and storyline yet again.
