Yes! This is how I feel about my hero/villain ships. Okay, sometimes I don't mind an endgame healthy version if it is a long fic that works for it and makes it work eventually. But most of the time I want unhealthy versions that make sense for the characters. In-character characterization is what I look for first in a fic. I like my villains villainy and my messed-up ships exactly as messed up as they would be.
