I think that’s what usually happens, but sometimes the concert’s outright cancelled and refunded. Then, when new dates are announced, the original ticket goers have the chance to purchase tickets before the general public. Those MCR tickets went fast though and people had a hell of a time getting them with all the sites crashing, so who knows if they’re guaranteed a ticket next time? It could also be that OP might be worried they won’t make it to the new date. I have tickets for the Hella Mega tour and the only reason I got them is because the nearest date to me is on a Saturday. If it gets postponed and the new date is a Sunday or weekday, I won’t be able to go.
