You may be able to give legal power over your body to someone you trust do carry out your wishes, and that person need not be a blood relative or the default next of kin. Depends on what the law allows, and whether you have someone like that (you definitely want to ask first if they are willing to take on the responsibility - not really a casual acquaintance kind of request).
