Maybe, and maybe not. Everyone likes different things, and taking that kind of attitude just proves the OP's point.

I know everyone likes different things, which is why I included "as long as they have a sense of whimsy in them". And I even used "most" people, since I'm aware that there still might be people that fit that category that might not like it.

So honestly I don't see how I was proving the OP's point at all.

Hon, I got whimsy out the wazoo. But I still found PD to be overly cutesy and cheesy. Doesn't mean there's something wrong with me or I'm lacking in whimsy. Just means I have different tastes.

I think you're getting overly defensive. I didn't say there's something wrong with you.

I'm a huge PD fan but I kinda agree with this as well. I think its appeal is rather more limited than a lot of fans want to admit. Doesn't make it any less special to those of us who DO like that kind of thing. A ton of people DID give it a chance (had great initial ratings) and many didn't like it enough to stick with it. I knew many people personally who tried it, gave it an honest shot, and just didn't dig it.

It is what it is. It's a good show that appeals to a certain sensibility. It's just unfortunate that that's not a majority sensibility.
