Ehhh, no. I'll probably go on thinking you're stupid.

Just like I think people are kind of stupid when they can't say my name right after knowing me for years.

What do you call it when someone can't learn something you teach them? It's stupid. Jeez.

lol, cute, except that I KNOW how to pronounce it in Japanese, and yet... omg, I don't speak Japanese! So I have no need to use it in English! What a concept.

And people don't speak Greek, but it'd be nice if they could pronounce my very simple name right when they're told how. For something more complicated, I would be more understanding. This is just ridiculous. Of course I'll think less of you.

An individual name is a very different case from a general word of the language, try again.

How? It's the same amount of processing your brain has to do.

Why do you care what I think of you anyway?

If someone has a preferred way of being called, then it's only polite to call them that way. But individual names aren't the same as words you actually use in a language, because each word has a particular way they're supposed to be pronounced - and everyone who speaks the language pronounces it that way. Foreign names don't have standardized pronunciations, so it's only natural that people get mixed up and confused over your name sometimes.
