138. Awww! But no. :D I SOBBED when Hiruma was taken off the field. Yes, it was SO FRIGGING SAD that Kid finally realized his dream when it was pretty much too late, but the way Hiruma reacted and the way the team reacted just clinched it for me as the most emotional moment in a manga I've read for years. Gah. I sobbed through that whole chapter, really. (And I like never cry. I am such a fandom sap. :D)

But... but... Hiruma was all calm and rational and thinking "oh crap that's my throwing arm." Kid got brutalized. And the way Tetsuma reacted... *sniffy sniffy* And Kid just has an innocence about him (he's very moe) that makes it seems so cruel. Not that I wasn't upset when Hiruma got hurt, just not as upset.

But... see, Hiruma still was like "my dream... my teammates... shit..." and he didn't let himself cry because he never cries and it was SO SAD. And I did totally feel so bad for Tetsuma, but the way Mamori tried to protect Hiruma from going back out onto the field just hit me harder... oh man I got so teary-eyed when she put his helmet on...
Let's agree to be mad at Gaou for maiming the guys overall. *shakes fist ineffectually*
Hee, Kid is so moe. :D

Agreed! Though I admit that I still like Gaou as a character... Both situations were quite emotional for me. I am sure that I am biased simply because I am so crazy for Kid.
