The secret and icon both (not sure which you were asking about, and i'm pretty sure I used this icon with the comment) is the shoujo manga Skip-Beat. It's about a girl named Kyoko who follows her childhood love, Sho, to Tokyo when he decides to break into showbiz. Eventually, however, she learns that he doesn't see her as a girlfriend, but as a servant, and that he only asked her to come along so she'd work to support him and do all the housework. Which she learns the truth, she essentially turns into a being of pure wrath and vows revenge, then joins a rival talent agency, determined to become a bigger star than he is. The company president sees potential in her, but assigns her to a special section of the company designed to bolster self-worth. Meanwhile, she clashed with the agency's top talent, Ren, who looks down on her for disrespecting his profession and wanting to use it for revenge. The two girls in the secret are actually Kyoko at different stages of the story.

Spoilers after this point.

The first 10 or so volumes are focused on that, and Kyoko's friendship with Kanae, a very serious aspiring actress who is the only other member of the Love Me section as they both start to work their foot in the door, with a side over Ren warming up to her, and her starting to look up to him. Around vol 10-11, though, they're cast in different dramas, and the focus starts shifting more to Kyoko's first major role, and the slowly moving romance with Kyoko and Ren. It's a fairly onesided romance-Ren's in love with Kyoko, but well aware that the age difference(she's 16-17, he's in his early 20s) makes it a big no-no, as does his effectively being her superior, and Kyoko is utterly clueless. Somehow, this as a pairing manages to work much better than many age-appropriate, romance-centric shoujo pairings.

It's very funny and pretty much an insane comedy, but has steady plot progression and character development throughout. With Basara and ,em>W Juliet finished running in the US, it's my favorite currently-running shoujo.
