I dropped it because I dislike the ML so it's funny to me that someone hates on FL. At least she's not as skeany as the Love O2O lead.

I mean, she's pretty. I just think the way the character is written and acted is really off putting in a way that's probably more about my tastes than anything else. I'm finding a lot more of this type of squeaky-voiced womanchild character in Chinese dramas and I don't like it. But I've watched more episodes since making this secret and eh... the her storyline and romance is boring to me. Both her and her love interest are so good looking, but dull and/or annoying.

Well these things tend to happened when a story gets plagiarized to hell and back with very little effort on the plagiarizing author's side and then it gets additionally dumbed down for a TV series.

Honestly, I liked this series but I'm getting tired of the womanchild thing that is prevalent in C dramas as well. I just really don't like that dynamic, but it seems as if it's super popular in this genre.

I also often find this characters annoying. Depends on how selfish/spoiled they are. In this case I was too annoyed with other things to pay much attention to the FL.

I hated Ye Hua so much, he was such a weak selfish coward. Mo Yuan was robbed T_T

I liked Ye Hua at first, then liked him less and less as the series went on, though I'm not finished yet. It's just... clearly he's supposed to be the sympathetic hero but sometimes the way it's written is just stupid and he's stupid? Ugh.

This is exactly how I felt! Not sure how far in you are, but by the end of the Second Life I literally fucking hated him. Like, grow a spine and stand up for your girl you cowardly child!

It really annoys me when clearly the narrative expects me to be totally on this person's side, and I'm just... not. You start to notice how the narrative makes excuses for that character.

By all means, but be aware that it actually has very little sexual content at all.
