Mail that's not bills or junk mail is fun, period. I used to be involved in swapping and mail art and it brightened my day whenever something cool arrived in the mail.

That actually sounds really interesting. I've never considered art exchanges through the mail before, I can't say I'd ever trust someone enough with my address though. Was it delivered to the nearest post office or something, or straight to your house?

It was through a site called swap bot and it's delivered to whatever address you provided. Your partner is randomly assigned and each swap is run by one user, so you can see who's running the swap (and their track record) before you sign up. Lots of craft and art related swaps, though keep in mind that it's amateurs and hobbyists, not professional artists.

Another caveat...it's been a few years since I participated, but the demographic there is similar to Facebook - lots of soccer moms, including a few Karens.

Agreed - I love Simply Nailogical's mailogical series. I'm not even really into nails, but the mail-opening is so entertaining!
