I'm gonna have the opposite stimulus check complaint from everyone else. I work at bank. No, we do not know when you'll get your check. No, we don't know why you didn't get your check. Yes, we know the line is long, everyone wants to get their money. No, we're not opening up the fucking lobby it's a fucking pandemic. Yes, it does suck that your check went into a closed account and I'm sorry we may not be able to re-route it and you'll have to go back to the IRS but that is not our fault. No, we did not "give" the IRS the wrong account number, you didn't inform them that it had changed (and yes, the government did a terrible job at communicating this. But we, the front line bank workers, cannot help that and screaming at me about how you need your money now will not get you your money any faster, and it makes me much less inclined to try and see if I can get my higher ups to do anything).

Also no, we can't tell you if your PPP loan was accepted, the SBA is in charge of that. Yes, we do expect you to have a business account in order to apply and no, that is not 'ridiculous,' these are intended for businesses and we do need some actual proof that you have a business and will be using this for business.

And for fuck's sake, if you don't need something now stop calling and complaining about how you can't come into the lobby. You want to deposit rolled coin? Unless that's the money you need to pay your rent, wait until the fucking pandemic is over please. You can open an account online, please stop trying to endanger us workers and our families because you "just want a personal touch." No, we're not opening the lobby for you because you "just don't like" the drive thru.
