I feel like we didn't even watch the same show.

I thought everyone was portrayed as a loser and that the animal abuse was disturbingly clear.

DA - I think OP might be referring to the response to the show, which has been disheartening as fuck.

nayrt - The actual text of the secret references the show's bias, though.

It's for the same reason people idolize Rick as a paragon of intelligence and ignore he's a piece of shit that would still be a horrible person if he was not intelligent (canon in the comics, btw. A D&D campaign forced him to play a non-intelligent character, and... he was still a bitter asshole).

Put a story's perspective into that of a villainous character, and you'll find more people not just sympathizing, but even empathizing with him than you would want. Had this reality show garbage been from the woman's or the authorities' point of view, chances are the story would have been taken differently.

Ah, I was referring to the page of the Rick & Morty vs. Dungeons & Dragons comic, fourth issue.

I frankly love this comic because it puts Rick in his place and shows him for the jackass he really is when you boil him down to it.

The problem is how the show paints them all as "equally bad".

Carole Baskin does good work and her sanctuary is legit. Her husband was a bigtime criminal and there's MANY possible explanations for his disappearance.

I feel like people who say she is just the same as the others or that she mistreats the cats have only watched the show and don't know anything about her. When she was first starting out trying to help the big cats, she made some missteps. Then she learned. Now her company is one of the best ones out there doing this particular bit of charity work. They are doing great things. They do it the right way. She wanted to do the right thing all along, she just didn't know how to in the beginning.

You should really stop commenting while high.

you sound like someone who screams about zoos being evil while not understanding that they're about conservation and re-introduction(where possible) too. the sad fact is that some wild animals just aren't able to be released because of the mishandling and abuse they suffered as babies, sanctuaries and zoos are the answer to this in these cases.

unless of course you'd rather the animals just be killed instead.
