What was the first fandom you made your first fanwork in?

Mine was House MD, I drew a chibi styled fan comic and made the mistake of posting it on the fandom comm on LJ.

Harry Potter. God. My "fanfics" if you could call them that. I was okay at drabbles, but I tried some other things and they didn't work at all.

Almost certainly Neopets.

Samurai Jack. I wrote a descriptive horror version of the opening to the show (the eclipse and Aku attacking them) and intended to fill in some of the blanks between the future and the past but I realised that the show approach of not telling you too much about Jack’s training etc was better.

It was a small fandom so there wasn’t too much in the way of wank, I got off lightly in terms of any criticism!

Huh, that actually sounds interesting, I haven't watched Jack since its original run, really brings back memories.

Aladdin fanfiction was my first tentative dip into fandom and I had a lot of fun with it. Man, fanfiction.net was the Wild West back then.

what was it about? i watched the enfire series for the first time a few months ago!

All i know is thete is one scene that i can't tell if thd creators are poking fun at the tropes or if it was for real (the scene in tbe woods were there's just continous cuts to and from tbe watery eyes of three of the protagonists. it cracked me up.

MASH fanfic. I was twelve and didn't even know there was a concept of fanfic.

I wrote a fic for Digimon Tamers where they're all reunited with their Digimon. I didn't post it anywhere though 'cause I didn't have internet and didn't know fanfiction was a thing. The first one I actually posted was a Fushigi Yugi fic about Chiriko getting revived or something.

I think Supernatural, although I vaguely remember attempting to write a story based on some soap opera when I was in middle school (not sure which one though, my mom watched a bunch and always had them on so I got in the habit of watching, too).

Honestly I can't remember, Lion King maybe? If were talking like little kid drawings, otherwise it would probably be Naruto. The first thing I shared publicly at least, and only because it was a shitty little paragraph about how Zetsu was born from a forbidden lakeside romance between a man and a tree, that I posted in a FF forum.

If it counts, when I was six I folded and stapled together construction paper into a little book and wrote a Ninja Turtles fanfic.

Awwww.

I was in college when I encountered the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I have almost seen all versions of the Turtles available in English.

I am such a geek.

Asimov Robot Detective novels. I still write Elijah/Daneel occasionally.

It might have been a (sigh) parody comic with a Punisher-ish antihero arguing with TMNT over which of them would get to bring a criminal to justice, sometime in elementary school in the ‘90s (I didn’t have deep knowledge of either besides watching a few TMNT episodes, though).

Do coloring books count?

How about Ed Emberly fan art?

(In case that's confusing as heck; Google = friend!)

When I was about 10 I wrote a pile of Mary-Sue drawerfic (literally drawerfic; it was on a notepad in my bedside table), mostly for Xena or Narnia - I had a terrible crush on Caspian. I think my first real online fandoms were Phantom Menace and Digimon 01.
