Can I say I love Star Trek TOS because of that? I have trouble processing live action TV that looks too realistic and too subtle so that obviously fake, simplistic and over-acted stuff is just what I need instead.

Me too. I hate the remastered versions of TOS for exactly that reason. Much like original Doctor Who the super basic special effects and editing is a big part of what makes the show so unique and enjoyable. Stop trying to smooth everything out so it looks 'almost real'.
