The reaction to Tiger King reminds me a little of Cuckoo’s Nest, with how it’s about a conflict between a man and a woman who are both unpleasant, but the woman gets the most hatred even though the man is a thousand times worse.

I love Eliot and Margo, but prefer them as friends who often find a third (or a fourth :p) rather then romantic partners, and was really distressed that the finale separated them so completely. (I wouldn't be surprised if a good chunk of the post-canon fics find a way to address that.)

I don't miss Quentin at all, though of all the episodes of the series I'm mostly likely to rewatch "A Life in the Day."

Elliot is at Brakebills on Earth; Margo (along with Josh, Fen, Alice (?) and most of the population of Fillory, were brought by Umber's ark to the new place grown from the World Seed.

Yeah, intellectually I knew they most likely weren't ever going to be together romantically, but I think I would've been a lot happier with the finale if they hadn't been completely separated.

Yeah, as I said above, that they're probably separated for all time is something I found really... unacceptable.

(It's kinda sorta almost pissing me off enough to write post-canon fix-it fic.)

yeah i'm in your boat too OP, i'd never say anything in the fandom or be public about it, but i couldn't stand quentin at all. i am still angry about what they did to him because it was just shitty in general, but i can't say i actually miss him(or the relationship everyone else mourns).

That's not what Elliot wanted, tho. He wanted to have Q's bbys and Q wanted to be with E and Alice 4ever (both Q and E wanted an occasional side of Margot.)

Now that would have been a happy ending.
