"All just a game kids are playing" is a twist on "all just a dream" that video games in particular seem to really like for some reason. It's a little strange.

This secret made me curious about the game, so I looked up some spoiler reviews, and it actually sounds like what I would consider an example of the twist used well. It sounds like it's not just a sudden reveal at the end for a "gotcha," but that the story is about how the girl's make-believe game becomes harder to keep up as the real life problem of her relationship with her parents gets worse.

Sounds like a case of false advertising in order not to spoil important plot points, which I get is disappointing if you actually wanted a fantasy game about a princess fighting a wizard. But it doesn't sound like a bad twist in this case.
