... I spent a good five minutes trying to decide, but I think I'm genuinely happy with the attention I get. Huh. AO3 says I get an average of 197 kudos per fic, which is awesome.

(Okay, I have one friend who can get over 1000 kudos per story, and I'll admit I'm often, like, paralyzed by jealousy when I R&R her stuff. But she also only writes Explicit fics for juggernaut pairings, and I like writing more gen stuff about minor characters. I gotta do me, attention be damned.)

If it makes you feel any better, I too would swoon at 197 per fic. I have two fics tied at 165; the next three are about 120; everything else is below that.

190 for GEN or minor characters is really good tbh, i think that says a lot about your fic tbh. as in it's most likely pretty good.

1000 kudos per story, wow! Sounds like a lot of itches scratched. The most I've had is a little over 60 for a single story over the course of maybe two years.
