TGW didn't pull it's punches with those topics, which I liked. Not to mention his "good father" thing happened while he was on house arrest, for the most part xD

I'd also consider it different than the "convenient missing babies" mentioned above, since a.) they were in their teens, more independent, and b.) who took cared of them and their supervision or lack of it were often important plot points and created conflict between the characters (the grandmother trying to insert herself into the situation, fired nannies, panic because one of them can't be found, etc.).
