126. People ship Holmes with... anyone? Oh, hey there, rule 34. Meh. I've always thought of him as asexual, and nothing will ever change that.

127. That's a funnier comparison than I think it should be.

128. I love that man's voice. Reading this secret, all I can think of is this one forum that was talking about Funi allowing people to vote for Goku's voice for the new Dragonball dub, and someone posting, "This is quite possibly the greatest thing that has ever happened to dubs since the invention of Johnny Yong Bosch!"

134. Wait, wait? You can't stand Mesusa? But she's so many layers of evil awesome! Seriously, Soul Eater is one of the few shounen mangas out there that has absolutely no problem with allowing its female cast to shine just as brightly as their male counterparts. (PS- Stein/Medusa is friggin' hot.)

141. I am intrigued by your ideas, and wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Well, I don't really like Medusa because of the way she treats Chrona(I just want Chrona to be HAPPY, damnit), and the way she bosses around Eruka. I've never been a big fan of the "manipulative bastard" type(both in male and female characters). But I do agree with Soul Eater having a very nice balance between the female and male cast :) There's very few shonen series who manages to give the girls and boys somewhat equal pagetime ^___^

ALSO, I should add I'm not the OP of 134.

Understandable, not gonna lie. However, I think what I like about Medusa is that she is so damned evil, as far as we can tell. Nowadays, we've gotten so many villains that are "misunderstood," or have sob stories that validate their evil ways. Somehow, it seems like a fresh of breath air to see a villain be a villain because they just like being evil. And insane. Because she's both.

And YES, Soul Eater women are made of awesome. ^_^ Which I appreciate so very much.

I ship Holmes with Mary Russell, because it's canon for a particular book series. I only ship it for that series, though, of course. (:

Seriously. Laurie R King: writing the best Mary Sue in the history of Mary Sues, trufax.

...I'm kinda at a loss, considering the absolute disaster that is the Laurie R King series. Sherlock Holmes stories that don't focus on mysteries, fail when it comes to facts, shoves in a horrendously written Bella Swan Mary-Sue, AND turns Watson into a bumbling moron?

Yeah, I'll pass.

... Really? Now, I can definitely agree on the facts part, as the religious "facts" that are often presented are very inaccurate -- but then, this is also taking place in a time when the ideas presented were probably way more plausible. I always considered those novels mysteries since... they focused on things happening that Holmes and Russell had to solve the mysteries of, and besides Russell being obviously smart enough to catch Holmes's interest and be of interest to the readers, and them falling in the least heavy-handed sort of love I've ever read, I can't really see how she's a horrendous Mary Sue.

I do have to outright object to Watson being portrayed as a "bumbling moron," though. Russell was set to hate the man because, from what she read, and her own impatience and belief that other people should catch on as quickly as she did, she thought that he was a bumbling moron, but she was cowed out of that notion pretty quickly when she actually met him.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one -- it's no skin off my nose, since I really only love the first few books in the series, anyway. The later ones that were more religion-oriented got a little too heavy-handed for me, but the first two are two of my favorite books (though to be fair, that's a reasonably long list).
