How is that stupid, though? It seems to me that if a slash fan realizes they should be pro-gay rights because they think homosexuals in fiction are hot, and just fetishizing gay people without actually thinking of them as equal human beings is really, really shitty, it's a pretty good reason to support gay marriage.

I meant that it was stupid to be pro-gay rights just because you fetishize gay people and get off to gay people having sex. That's just lame, sorry.

Oh, that's definitely lame -- I can agree with that, but I doubt there are nearly as many of them as the OP imagines. (Especially since they seem to be going out of their way to paint all girls who like slash the exact same way, mrgh.) I've seen way, way more of the fangirls who simply fetishize the buttsex being anti-gay rights in real life, which I think is pretty much infinitely worse than what the secret's trying to describe. I don't think there are many that make the illogical leap of "I like fictional gay sex!" to "if I give gay people more rights, I get more fictional gay sex!"

(Also, I may be biased, but as a lesbian, I don't care if people fight for my rights simply because they're going "hurr hurr lesbian~" as long as they're with me, not against me. And this is speaking as a girl who got introduced to the idea of "alternate lifestyles" through shounen-ai; I'd never even considered it or thought about it as an option before. I'd like to think the batshit fans are just in a... transitory stage. >____>)
