What are you doing to take care of yourself during these trying times?

I unfriended and blocked someone on facebook who was being a real POS about the virus and quarantine. I've been playing a lot of Animal Crossing, which is in general a happy making place. And I've been doing my best to go to bed with positive thoughts rather than negative ones. It...doesn't always work out but I try. XD;

everything in my power to not think about work - that place stresses me out so much and a month off (so far) is helping clear my head, as long as i don't think about it

Depends honestly. A lot of time with my cat. A lot of reading/watching comforting and escapist things.

Currently having a bad day, though with migraine/panic attacks and was also triggered and had flashbacks thanks to someone's speech at my Toastmaster's meeting, so I'm trying to come up with some immediate self care when none of my normal stuff is helping.

And no self, a heaping bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream is not the way to go. Will make migraine worse.

I've started working out 6 days a week, eating better, and every once in awhile I smoke a little weed or have an edible. I smoked this afternoon before my weightlifting workout and when I was done I took a long hot shower, washed and conditioned my hair, and used a nice body oil and a little cologne when I got out. I'm making taco salad for dinner and then I'll be watching Better Call Saul's season finale that I DVRed last night. Sometimes I like to get Doordash, and so many restaurants here have great deals right now (you can get alcohol delivered too), it's a real treat. I do my own nails, I find it relaxing and I'm very good at it so my nails look fab. I have a stack of great books to read, my goal is to read every day for two hours, also very relaxing. And sometimes I just crash on the sofa with my phone and play games.

I'm trying to plan my meals more efficiently, which is a challenge since I'm also trying to shop less frequently and limit my exposure. I'm also trying to eat healthier. Junk food is always tempting at times like this, but I know if I don't get a proper meal, I'm going to feel worse than I already do.

Occasionally telling work "no" when they want me to work overtime and making sure I get enough sleep.
