I love Lovecraft, though I love him in spite of his racism and sexism. Especially the racism makes me uncomfortable (I'm used to looking past sexism and it was relatively normal for his time, but his racism was excessive even for when he lived). But oh man, his worldbuilding is the kind of stuff that just gets me. I can't help but love his worlds.

Yeah, one of the first things I found out about him was that even people at the turn of the 19th century considered him to be overwhelmingly racist... which, like, wow, there's bad, being peroid-typically bad, and then there's Lovecraft, which I don't even want to know.
