I'm one of those who didn't like RTD's era as much, though it wasn't necessarily entirely or mostly a writing issue. It was a Doctor/companion dynamic issue for me and then some fundamental issues with 10 in general.
But Moffat was a vast improvement for me. And I'm loving the current era a lot, though not quite as much as the previous one. But RTD's era is still my least favorite.
Honestly, though, Who is Who. It always has new Doctors, Companions, and Showrunners. It is always changing. That is how it is. Those who don't like the current stuff can just wait it out until the next showrunner comes along. Not every era will be for everyone, and that is okay.

(Anonymous) 2020-04-22 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)I feel like that needs to be on a title card at the beginning of every episode. Even if you feel there is a definite decline in writing quality, it's not going to remain the same writers and producers forever.
