OP
(Anonymous) 2020-04-23 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)Yeah, the last time I tried to something architectural was perspective work in highschool art class, but as soon as I started reading I had a perfect image of one of those old corner farmhouses surrounded by fields. I dug up an old book of my mom's about how to draw curb appeal, grabbed the protractors and rulers, but oh boy it is hard. It kept not turning out so I started on the Bucky picture instead for a little while.
It's really just fun for me, when I get one of those images from a fic it really ignites my want to draw, something I don't do so often anymore, so if anything I should be grateful to you for restarting my muse! Obviously it gets frustrating from time to time when the picture in my mind doesn't translate on the page, (particularly when it's something outside my drawing norm;;) so it's now always easy, but I love it none the less! (it just ends up taking forever;;)

I'm very shy, but I'll give you a shout out when I finally manage to finish my fanart! Be it the house I'm dead set on or a scruffy Bucky!
Re: OP
I'm so glad you spoke up. I would look at that bookmark like once a week, and try to figure out a way to *figure it out*! Hehe.
Excellent.
And thank you so much (again, i hope) for drawing that! And for wanting to draw more things, that is amazing and awesome!
Whatever you do, I know I will be delighted. I hope you're having fun, at least, trying to draw your vision, and not just getting frustrated!
Thank you again! :D Can't wait to see your work.

(Anonymous) 2020-04-24 06:04 am (UTC)(link)I almost feel bad since there is literally no more than three anonymous fanarts floating around the internet by me, all sent anonymously. Yours, the artwork in "Unchained Melody", and the first fic I sent art for ever! (all of which don't even share the same style)
I can just imagine your frustration trying to figure this out for so long, so it legitimately makes me happy that not only we got to sort this out, but that you liked my art enough to try to figure out it out for as long as you have! It really means so much to me! I'm all flustered!
I swear I'll get that farmhouse down! Just talking about this lit another fire under me to try again with Bucky, I'm used to portraiture, so it's wouldn't be much more than a face, my goal today was to knock some of my rust off and get back into the feel of emoting. It's still a little rough, but there are some distinct angles and emotion I want to imbue to really capture Bucky's first impression walking up to the farmhouse!
The fun is always there! Any time I get frustrated I just take a step back and reread your story, and all I can do is smile!

Re: OP
You make me smile. It's seriously just the most awesome thing, as a writer, to know that someone has not only enjoyed what you wrote, but has been *inspired* by what you wrote into creating something else.
YAYAYAY!
I'm so glad you spoke up.
*smish*
