Same. I don't like love triangles, so shipping, say, Edward/Jacob made Twilight more enjoyable.

It really depends on the three characters for me. Often I'll end up threesoming them. Sometimes I'll ship two of the pairing options. Other times I'll love the M/M pairing. Other times I'll love one of the M/F options. It just depends on where I see the chemistry and the most interesting possibilities.

Usually I like to go for a polyship whenever love triangles/squares/etc are considered. But of course the best thing about fanfiction and general headcanons is doing whatever you like :)
