I wasn't horrified by either act either. I think you'd have to have been invested in the characters as heroes to have that kind of reaction, and I just wasn't. Anakin was whiny and unlikable and Dany was a terrible hero, self-righteous, hypocritical and always defaulting to violence as her ultimate solution for everything. So my reaction was more like... "Eh." And I couldn't even root for them as villains doing cool villainous shit, because they were boring villains! I was cheering for Cersei as she blew up the sept and had a big grin on my face for weeks just thinking of her self-satisfied mug at the end of that season. That was glorious villainy. With Dany, I was just getting impatient for Jon to kill her already. The fact that he dragged his feet over it ended up killing any sympathy I felt for his character. Damn, son, just shank her already.
