I've been very leery of them with all the reports of them funding guards who allegedly torture and murder people. Buzzfeed did an investigation https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/tomwarren/wwf-world-wide-fund-nature-parks-torture-death. It has spawned other reviews and investigations of human rights abuses.

I've followed them for a long time, how they dead with their cashflow and the spreadsheets detailing what and where they apply their change to the world, they are one of /the/ best in regards to putting their donation money where their mouth is, people still get paid obviously, but the head CEO's get an honest salary compared to more other "charitable" organizations. Honestly, the last time I donated was over six years ago, when I was in a better place finacially. WWF is not PETA, they aren't a crazy bunch of fuckheads who hurt the cause they stand for, they contact and advocate for animal rights.
I'm not about to read that buzzfeed post, because it smells like bullshit from a mile away, but if I find my way into any affordable change to send off to them, I will recheck my sources an validate what they do. Clickbait is not a means of gathering real information, thank you.

Does AO3 count as a charity? Most of the donation is just supplying funding for the website isn't it?

Nayrt - they also have a legal team whose basic job is defending the right to make fanworks at all

I used to like them until I read about them sending livestock that wasn’t suited/native to the areas they’re supposedly helping.
