No, I don't believe either of those things. It just makes me uncomfortable that there are suddenly so many transmen all of a sudden, to the point where I question if some of them are just putting on that label because of internalized misogyny. I worry that they judge me as inferior because I identify as a woman. A transman I was close to who hated women would sometimes not acknowledge that I'm a woman just because I act masculine in a lot of ways, and I felt really upset about it. Like he could only acknowledge me as acceptable if I wasnt a woman.

it sucks that this person treated you that way, and youre absolutely right to be uncomfortable with misogyny, but it sounds like you are projecting a lot of your personal experiences onto people who havent earned it. im judgemental of misogynistic trans men too. i have no beef with trans men who dont behave that way.

if youre okay with hanging out with men in general without worrying about them being misogynistic but assume trans men in particular will be, thats weird to me. if youre not okay with hanging out with men in general, then... i still dont get why youre focusing so much on trans men?
