I didn't like his death either. Or at least, the fact that he died because the actor wanted to not play him any more not because it made particular sense for Data to be suicidal?

Brent's wish was fair enough but this whole bit about his Great Sacrifice in Nemesis being undone by his continuing to exist seemed full of holes, especially in light of bringing Picard back from the dead at the exact same time. If they turned him into a talking toaster who was just a voice I'd have liked it better.
