For the record, energy drinks get a very bad rap from the "healthy nutrition" crowd. But most scientists and doctors agree that it's actually the excessive sugar and caffeine in energy drinks that is bad for you. The taurine, which the healthy nutrition crowd likes to point to like its the devil, is far less of a health concern than the caffeine and sugar.

So basically, if you'll drink soda and coffee without worrying it's destroying your health, there's no reason to worry about having an energy drink a couple of times per week.
