I mean... does it hurt anyone, though? Like... if people eat up an upvote-bait story... maybe they just need something in their lives and this is one of those things where whether or not it's real doesn't matter.

Like, it's chicken soup for the soul but on reddit. A lot of this stuff is crap, yes, but it's heartwarming crap. Is it any surprise that people fall for it?

Right now, a lot of people just need these stories, and I'd much rather have a bunch of people fall for a story on reddit than like... actual harmful scams.
