You might want to make your secret, you know, readable before you start bagging on other icon makers. It took me a good 45 seconds to figure out that "photoshoppers" was the word under the hands.

Do you not know what "industry" means? Making icons for your little internet friends does not equal graphic design as a profession.

45 seconds is a really fucking long time for trying to read a single word, when it would have actually made it's point properly with a little attention.

Yes, this. I don't get paid to make icons, so I don't have much inclination to make them *~shiny~*. I usually just gank stuff from my flist these days.

And yeah, this would never make it out the door IRL - all the other problems with it notwithstanding. That's absolutely basic design (and one of the reasons "fake" text in icons drives me batty).

I generally make it a rule not to bash secret designs, but this one just begged for it.

Thank you! I gave up after a minute. I still hadn't figured that word out.

My skills are totally limited as I'm just starting to learn to use Photoshop (mostly for f!s purposes) and elitest bitches like that are making me afraid to post anything when I make it.

Literally, really, since I had no idea that word was supposed to be "Photoshoppers." I spent a good minute trying to think of any television show or anime I had heard of ending with "hoppers." I thought it to be perhaps a wacky Irish sitcom about Bar Hoppers and pub hunters; the fans of said show would endearingly be called "hoppers," explaining to whom the secret was referring.
Alas, I am alone in a sea of wrong.

I love this so much more than the original secret. I'd watch it! XD
