I didn't miss the point, I just like to imagine the 'what could have beens' and what an awesome team Zuko and Azula might have been in some other reality or somesuch. I never expected anything from canon but what ended up happening, but it's fun to theorize.

i hated it too. with the burning fiery passion of a thousand suns i hated it. and every time i saw how much of fandom was dedicated to this pairing, i wanted to grab them all by the shoulders and shake them and ask if they had any sense of perception at all and how could they not see how stagnant and platonic their interactions were in RE2. i went into the movie with a bias of hating the pairing and of really really wanting to like the new girl Angela. i came out of the movie shipping Leon/Claire and wanting to kill Angela with a gigantic rusty nail. i really do feel ashamed.
