139. UNFORTUNATELY, the Webster's dictionary definition of PEDOPHILE does not stand when it comes to things like THE LAW and AGE OF CONSENT. Which, by the way is between the ages of 16-18, in most places.

So when they're saying LOL I'M A PEDO. They're right. Only they're not if the people are animated, unless they live in a place that's not the United States where loli and shota are legal. (I don't want wank about how loli and shota is still ZOMG TEH CHILD PRAWNZ, think what you want, I'm going by Wikilaw definitions here.) This is anime only. I have a point in here somewhere.

But under-age is not the same as prepubescent, right? So even if it's illegal to have sex with someone younger than a certain age, it doesn't mean you have to be a paedophile to do it.

I think the legal term for it is actually pedophilia, though, even if a twenty year old sleeps with a sixteen year old. I think I learned that in class? I honestly can't clearly remember anymore, but I'm pretty sure it's the case.

Well, that would be in the U.S. I suppose? Though I still find it strange that it should be used wrongly in official circumstances.
