Anyone who harasses the creators deserves what they get. As far as I'm concerned the people who rise to the level of harassing creators are the worst people in fandom and are the ones who ruin it for everyone.

Not so much actual harassment but if they get a lot of backlash for their bad behavior then yes, they deserve what they get. If you can't stand the heat then get out of the kitchen.
