HA! Yes, that was one of my - well, two of my - *biggest* arguments against Endgame being remotely canon; EG Steve goes back in time and...leaves Bucky to be tortured by Hydra? Really? He leaves himself in the ice? OR - he gets himself out but then says 'sorry, bud, i got dibs'?

And it wasn't like 1945 or anything - i was fairly sure Peggy was married when he and Tony went back, which would have been all kinds of awkward.

Yay for fix-it fic! :D
