There are female alpha fics!

...what I don't get are the ones with female omegas as the main character. People know they can write regular breeding kink fic featuring women, don't they?? *confused face*

Most Omegaverse fics (if not all) I have read are M/F. The F is almost always omega or even beta (on occasion).

Heats? Made-up biology elements like a multiple pregnancy with a ridiculous amount of babies at one time? Made-up societies and power structures based on alpha/omega relationships instead of male/female ones?

I've never read an ABO fic where the focus was on a female omega, but these are the first potential reasons for it that came to mind.

All the ABO fic I've ever consumed is M/F. I know it's super big (probably even originating?)in slashfic, but I like my good old het when it's time to bunker down. I feel like it's something I encounter frequently because it's OC/Self-insert fic rather than canon pairings.
