The fact that the guy who decided to take the pictures is obese himself makes a difference in how I feel about this. I assume he's also there to play the game, and didn't just crash the event in order to take pictures of ass cracks. That makes a difference in how I feel about this as well.

And finally, the fact that we can't see the faces of any of these people makes a big difference.

If any of these things weren't true, I'd call this prank straight up cruel. But as it is, I'd say it's kind of insensitive, but not to a degree where I can't also find it funny.

However, as someone else said upthread, it's not really the ass cracks that are funny. It's the guy's serious, direct gaze.

Yup, the circumstance and the poster does make the prank a lot less severe than it could be. I highly doubt anyone is going to recognize their own asscrack, let alone another persons, so as insensitive as it is, the prank is essentially victimless, imo.

The fact that he's dressed in black and looks so much like Samwell Tarly contributes to the funny too. Like this is something the Night Watch might do on a slow news day in the North.
