No need to worry at all! I love Lawrence of Arabia, I try to watch it whenever it's on TV, and I was honestly shocked by how little fic there was for the film. So as a fan, I would corral you to write your heart out! <3
As a smaller fandom I really don't think they'd judge at all. Hell, being a fan of fandom big or small, I never judge what other things people have written/liked, and I usually try to find new content by looking through my favourite authors works/bookmarks! I wouldn't worry so much if I were you OP, you like what you like, and it's only a plus when common interests overlap!
