I hear you; last time a kink meme popped up near me the host was a total control freak who logged IPs, forbid people from answering their own prompts should they change their minds later and people from deviating the slightest for the prompt when filling for other people; half a week later we got a few dozens prompts and a couple of fills but we never reached the tipping point when there were enough prompts, and diverse enough, so that people would easily find something to fill... and they changed the rules so that you could only submit ten prompts, nothing more until you did at least one fill for someone else.

The entire point is that it's anonymous and thus we're free to do whatever! Like, why even let it be anonymous if you're going to be such a giant creep?

Worst of all, I know that the host had a history of their roommate leaving a flame in a previous fic exchange and getting them accused of sockpuppetting and making quite a kerfuffle--they of all people should know that one IP =/= one person, that several people can share a connection, and guess that one person can go use different free spots around town, and allow some leeway, but nooo...
(I *almost* called them out on that history, but prefered not to stir old shit up, kept quiet, and noped the fuck out.)
