I've only finished 0 and maybe about half of 6 (because I'm terrible at doing things in order and 6 lets you befriend) and they are really well-balanced between serious and silly tone. People die. You might get misty-eyed. But I wouldn't call the ending to 0 a downer. I was satisfied with it, although I did yell a lot about my feelings.
