Songs/Music Found Through Fandom Fanmixes

Back in my LJ days I found Emilie Autumn's music through Fruits Basket and I have an mp3 player that's 50% music from various Hetalia fanmixes.

I developed my love for several artists thanks to the first fanmix I stumbled across soon after I read the Silmarillion and was just starting to delve into the Silm fandom.

This awesome mix: https://8tracks.com/princewesley/forge-music-rise-ruin

Specifically I discovered Hedningarna, Corvus Corvax, Rammstein, and Mediaeval Baebes.

This mix got me in general listening to Germanic, Swedish, Viking, Pagan, Mediaeval, and Celtic music as genres.

Basically, this mix is amazing and you should listen to it for the awesome music even if you aren't in the Tolkien fandom.

Edit: Oh, hey, the creator put it up on Spotify too. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0nTUBbbNCZdNaj7z0nxAKS?si=-DY20vUhR96HVNkNw5y2Iw

I found this Over the Garden Wall fanmix that was really great. I couldn't name any of the sings, but I could hum several of them.

(the only FST I only made was Hetalia *g*)

I discovered The Mountain Goats through fandom - not, as so many did, through The Walking Dead, but because a writer I love named a fic after one of their songs. I have no idea how many songs I've found through fanvids and AMVs and whatnot, but I think I actually got into Mumford and Sons because of some classic Homestuck lyricstucks, and I discovered Delta Rae via a really intense Over the Garden Wall video.

I started listening to Ludo when I was 12 because of a Death Note shipping AMV, and they're still a band I have a lot of nostalgic fondness for.

Recently I've been going through a load of Sanders Sides fan playlists and discovered In the Heights and The Little Prince soundtracks.
