While I’m all for weird/creepy looking monsters and villains and similar characters, I wasn’t actually attracted to Venom or Eddie, but I did like both of them and enjoyed the movie. And in terms of the, I guess morality (re: your Catholicism) of who you’re attracted to I’d think it’d be better to be into someone who looks like a villain that isn’t, like Venom, than someone who, idk, looks like the president of the local water-polo club but is actually a rapist (a sizable minority of frat bros.)

yikes! Yeah, the whole "he looks like a demon!" thing trips me up a little but yeah, I agree.

I do wish the movie had given us a xhance to explore both characters more (this is barring my attraction), as my previous experiences with these characters were my brother's Venom action figure as a kid and the Tobey era Spiderman woth Topher Grace as Brock. I def. want to check out the comics.
