it's not reductive at all to simply not enjoy a genre. i personally don't like cop-shows, i find the formula of them repetitive in a way that bores the ever loving shit out of me and thus i don't watch them. even if they come highly recommend because i know more than likely i'll loose interest in about 3 episodes.

sometimes you know what you don't like and there is nothing wrong at all with not engaging with it.
