Yeah I get it. There are films I like that fall under RomComs, but I do usually avoid films if they're being advertised as RomComs beforehand.

I remember really not wanting to see Last Christmas with a friend (we take turns on what movies we go to see together, and I didn't really mind since she usually puts up with me wanting to see superhero movies despite not being a big fan of them herself) - because it was advertised as a Christmassy RomCom. I went in fully expecting to hate it and ended up liking it a lot more than expected. I still don't trust anything that's labelled as a romcom tho.
