In my teens I had a massive crush on one of my teachers so although I don't know if the profession overall can be considered hot, I'm weak for that scenario. Though it's fraught with things like people being gross with the power dynamics. When I think about that particular teacher now, I don't think about it the same way as back then, I think about how awesome it would've been to have met when we were both adults.

Mentor/mentee ships are my fav problematic dynamic (doesn't necessarily have to be a teacher/student in the modern academic sense). But yeah...obviously it's gross IRL and I've honestly never met a teacher I thought I'd wanna bang either.

I'll back you up on the teacher thing! I had a bit of a crush on a science teacher I had in middle school, so I get it :D.

But yeah, somebody who is genuinely interested in and excited to educate students and teach them cool and interesting new things, who cares about their job and genuinely wants to help kids succeed...that's definitely attractive :).
