You know what, I always thought I hated everything about romcoms but now that you've said that... Yeah. I mean, I'd gladly read reams of fanfiction about two characters falling in love, I just want them to be very different from the stock characters that populate romcoms.

I love love, I love comedy, I just hate romcom couples and how they're unrelatable at best, and often downright toxic.

nayrt - this is a good way to put it. like a lot of people on this comm, i read a lot of fanfic, and a decent amount of it follows very similar beats to a romcom... but i'm not all that keen on hollywood romcoms
