Not quite terrified, but the Unsolved Mysteries theme punched my “get ready to fight-or-flight” button pretty hard as a kid, even though I watched the show itself. But I was just ready for something to happen whenever the theme kicked in until the host showed up.

ayrt - Haha, that is great! And also glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought of Robert Stack appearing as a sort of "safe zone" (but others seem to have been creeped out by his voice, aww).

Lord, yes. That show creeped me the hell out as a kid. I loved it, though :D.
