I am still mad at the folks who recommended Kitty Norville without warning me she starts out in a horrifying abusive relationship.

Not to mention all of the rape, at least in the first book (never read any of the others). It would've been really nice if the people who recommended it to me could've given me a heads-up on that, especially when they knew very well that I like to be warned when there's rape and abuse in a series so that I can at least go in prepared.

Dude...That's literally the first thing I would think to say to someone if I was recommending Kitty Norville. =/ The first book is rough in that regard. She gets out of that situation at the end of the book, and she's in a better place thereafter, but still. I'd absolutely warn someone, going in. How could anyone not mention that?!
