Nah.

That being said, I would have happily been bored by it again if it meant we could have had a proper Eurovision this year, I missed it so much ;_;

... at least there are the videos.

(In my mind, I've already voted for "Uno." :p)

Wow, strong disagree.

The televote was for Norway (a fun song we liked, and sung well), the jury vote was for North Macedonia (a serious though not ballady piece sung by, imo, one of the best overall singers), but because of the cumulative vote the Netherlands song, which to us was a limp ballad unremarkably sung and staged. To us Russia, Malta, Serbia, and Estonia were either better songs or better sung.

The acoustic version of that song is even better, imo.

Oh god no, it was not a good song. Norway should have taken it if you want to judge by song alone rather than staging etc.

Arcade had one of the worst staging of the year, imo. He was squeezed into that tiny keyboard/child sized piano, and the only good/memorable thing that happened was when camera caught the light shining behind him to give him a coolish silhouette, but that only happened in one of his preformances, so even that was a bust. Hell, the tiny little disco ball that shows up was stupid as hell, even knowing it was supposed to represent the soul of the person he was singing about (which I only found out way later) since he did nothing but convey that aside from blankly staring at it until it popped back up into the ceiling.

Pft, yeah okay OP, maybe in your dreams. The simple fact of what happened with Spirit in the Sky (the jury tanked them due to a lighting issue where the imagery in the background glitched out and they weren't given a redo despite it being no fault of their own there basically being a rule that they should be allowed one) is the basic definition of how skewed, unbalanced, and biased, the judging system is. This was the same year, so it really defeats your undue preference to Arcade an any merits you think it has to somehow overshadow and validate the shitshow Eurovision calls a voting system.

obviously that's not how game analysis works and styles cannot be validated by one instance.
